The annual meeting and boat show of the Antique and Classic Boat Society (ACBS) was held September 15 - 18, 2010 in the beautiful surroundings of Bay Harbor, Michigan. "Miss Emily", the very rare 1933 Hacker Craft Triple cockpit 20 Foot Runabout is pictured below in the foreground. |

Over 128 wooden boats were on display, which may be a national ACBS meeting record for most boats. The consensus among attendees was that this was one of the most exceptional collections of wooden boats seen together in a very long time, in quantity, quality of boats and quality of restorations. |

| Competition was tough and I did not envy the judges who had the difficult task of choosing the "best among the best". |
| Macatawa Bay Boat Works' recent total restoration of "Miss Emily" received Best in its Class with the award for "Best Preserved Runabout". For a boat to complete in this class, it must have at least 60% of its original wood reused in the boat. |
