1960 Chris Craft 17' Sportsman

I am selling this project boat, "Tigress" is a 1960 Chris Craft 17' Sportsman Utility with original Chris Craft KFL 131 horse power, 6 cylinder flat head gasoline inboard engine with twin up draft carburetors. Hull series CAU-17-. One of 285 boats produced. Comes with factory optional "Iva-Lite" remote controlled spot light mounted on the deck. This is a project boat. The engine is partially restored and partially disassembled, I have new bearings and gasket set not yet installed. The hull is sound, made of mahogany. One side of the hullsides and half of the deck is partially stripped of the varnish. It has the original "soaker" bottom with plywood inner layer from the factory. It comes complete with all the hardware, motor box, original steering wheel, gauges, underwater running gear, wood seat back and bases, and plywood flooring.

This project boat will need everything to make usable or into a show winner including wood refinish and varnishing, engine rebuild and install, new fuel system and wiring, interior upholstery and floor covering. It comes with a single axle, bunk trailer that tows well. It would make a great winter project.
