| 1955 Chrysler Imperial Newport Coupe - with 331 cu HEMI engine 250 HP RARE - RARE - RARE!. Southern California car. Very solid, no rust. White with white leather and gold cloth interior. Complete and original. Nice chrome, leather and cloth interior, good glass (except the passenger door window has one crack, flat glass easy to replace), power windows, power seat, automatic transmission and fog lamps. This one of famed designer, Virgil Exner's finest creations. It definitely has Italian styling influences and was a mile stone car of the 1950's. It is the luxury version of the Chrysler 300, it shared the same two piece grill and has the same engine, the 331 HEMI !, It was the first American to use four wheel disc brakes. And you got to love those trade mark Imperial gun-site tail lights! When was the last time you saw a '55 Imperial coupe?! This was one of the cars that started the muscle car era for Mopar. Low production, only 3,418 were made and how many survive today? I searched for over a year to find this one and have only seen one other for sale since.
