1950 Hutchinson 26' Utility
| This
boat came from the Alexander Bay / Thousand Island region of upstate
New York. It was purchased new in 1950 by the Pullman Family of the
Pullman Railroad Car Company.
It came to Macatawa Bay Boat Works for restoration including mechanical systems, varnish upgrade and some repairs to the bottom. |

| We were optimistic the boat may soak up but it had been out of the water for several years, the bottom was very dry and open and did not respond well to soaking, to say the least. |
| After an initial water test, we determined it was necessary to do some work on the bottom to seal up some gaps that would not soak up. |
| The old name and registration numbers were removed and a new name in gold leaf applied, "PULLMAN" after the family name of the original owner. |
| With a hull that floats, an engine that runs and the varnish upgraded, she is looking pretty once again! |
